IMD Cloud connects with Philippine audio houses

MANILA – IMD Philippines has connected their cloud-based solution for TV commercial delivery and archiving, IMD Cloud, with major Philippine audio houses LoudBox, Soundesign and Hit Productions.

Through the IMD Cloud, TV Producers now have the flexibility to directly upload, quality control and deliver instantly from audio houses, as well as post-houses, eliminating the need for Betacam tapes or physical delivery via USB.

“Factors beyond our control such as manual ingest and multiple conversions from digital to analog and back to digital have, at times, been the cause of issues for Betacam release” said Loudbox’s Manuel Legarda.   “With IMD Cloud’s software, we are now confident that there is consistent and objective quality control in meeting the requirements of all networks, including the new audio standards of ABS-CBN.”

“We have been introduced to IMD Philippines’ cloud based TVC release services and we praise the idea of a streamlined, cloud based solution to release materials,” said Andro Blay of Soundesign.  “We feel that IMD’s cloud based solution is a good idea that can benefit the industry by helping us transition to a digitally based workflow where quality control, improved workflow and media archiving are represented adequately.”

Standardizing market outputs, IMD’s making it a level playing field for audio suppliers by ensuring TV commercials are released with consistent audio levels. Audio houses can now focus on the quality of the mix; as opposed to making commercials loud for loudness sake.

“We’re humbled by the fact we’ve been so warmly welcomed to the market,” said IMD’s Joshua Rea, Director of International Development. “The Philippines advertising industry is unique within Asia, in both structure and dynamics. It’s exciting to see everyone’s really embracing the changes we’re trying to bring and that we’re able to provide a solution that fits.”
