Working as a team, freelancers Lilit Reyes and Dino Jalandoni have beat out big shops Publicis and McCann to win an upcoming outdoor campaign for Unilab.
“They said they liked our creative use of the outdoor medium,” said Reyes of the two-round pitch. In two months of freelancing, the team has also worked on Flawless skin clinics and Nikon.
Both Reyes and Jalandoni are former ECDs, Reyes at Blackpencil and Jalandoni at McCann and Burnett. The team casually calls itself the Manila Racket Club, but Reyes emphasizes that “We’re not a company, we’re freelancers.” Both continue to work on their own projects, including scriptwriting for Reyes.
