LOOK: Epson lights up Capitol Commons with a 3D light show

MANILA – Who says projectors are just good for classrooms and movies?

Epson Philippines lit up Capitol Commons Park in Pasig City last December 11 with a one-of-a-kind 3D light show to showcase its projector technology and celebrate 14 consecutive years of being the No.1 projector brand in the world.

From Fridays to Sundays up to January 3, 2016, a 10-minute show will be projected across the façade of the Maersk Global Service Centers Ltd. (Philippines) building across Capitol Commons Park every thirty minutes from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

The show, dubbed “Epson’s Spectacular Christmas Show” was co-presented with real estate firm Ortigas & Company, which doubles as a creative ad for its properties which includes the Greenhills Shopping Center and Araneta Center.

The execution was made possible through projection mapping, a technology that turns irregularly shaped objects into a display surface for video or pictures. Epson’s campaign used eight high-brightness EB-Z11000 series projectors

“This is our first time to hold this kind of activity, and it’s all about giving back to the Filipino people. We want to bring back the good old memories of watching a street Christmas show like the ones we used to see in Cubao at the COD mall façade when we were still kids. We also want to treat today’s children with a different kind of entertainment – a special kind of wonder they can only get during the Christmas season,” said EPC Product Manager Lyn Lizarondo.
