STRATMARK8: Young marketers urged to treat Pinoy as a global brand

PHILIPPINES, AUGUST 5, 2010 – The 8th Strategic Marketing Conference and Competition (STRATMARK8) held at the Aliw Theater on July 30, 2010 encouraged 2,800 future marketing managers to find inspiration in the global Pinoys. Themed "Pinoy as a Global Brand", the youth marketing conference was organized by the Philippine Marketing Association (PMA) in cooperation with the Philippine Junior Marketing Association (PJMA).

"Globalization, with the help of technology, has changed the way we do business. We have all seen how the internet has made it possible for unknown brands to compete and corner markets of the world," said Nick Fontanilla, PMA President. "Therefore, it is high time that we nurture small and medium enterprises to forward their cause as Pinoy entrepreneurs by inspiring them with the dynamics of these critical areas and concepts," Fontanilla added.
