MANILA – While it is true that millennials, also known as the digital natives, now prefer to do just about everything on their smartphones and tablets like brushing up on current events, listening to music, or communicating with friends and relatives, recent Pew studies show that when reading, they still prefer the printed over electronic books–the feeling of turning the pages, the smell of the paper, and the physical memory of every inked word and sentence.
So, in this year’s Print Media Congress, the United Print Media Group (UPMG) and its member publications together with advertising and publishing leaders aim to strengthen this surprising and peculiar trend among young readers with the theme: “Millennials can love print, too!”
The topics include:
Where is Print Now Through the Eyes of the Millennials
Connecting through Digital
Selling the Big Idea
Catching Attention through Creatives
The Print Challenge
The Challenge & What Can We do
Worldwide & Local Trends in Print Advertising
What Millennials Want
The Print Media Congress will be held on October 21 to 22 at the Manila Hotel.
