Starcom Mediavest Group promotes Rajesh Mahtani

SingaporeStarcom MediaVest Group has promoted Rajesh Mahtani to executive director, Strategy, Research and Analytics at Starcom MediaVest Group, South East Asia. Previously, he was executive director, strategic solutions, Starcom Singapore.

Mahtani is charged with strengthening SMG’s product, as well as imbuing the application of “strategy as a mindset” within the network. Mahtani takes over the helm from Ranganathan Somanathan, who was recently promoted to CEO, Starcom MediaVest Group, Malaysia. He reports to Jeffrey Seah, CEO, Starcom MediaVest Group, Southeast Asia.

On top of his media experience, Mahtani’s knowledge providing strategic consultancy to clients across various industries and the digital landscape is extensive — having worked with blue-chip clients such as Asia Pacific Breweries, DBS Bank, Singapore Telecoms, Singapore Tourism Board, and technology clients which include Sony, RIM, Blackberry, Sun Microsystems and Oracle. He also spent four years in Hong Kong working on accounts specifically catered to the Chinese market, as well as developed business plans for clients in Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia.  

Mahtani will also be involved in new businesses, mining and articulating consumer insights to empower brand strategies for potential SMG clients in Southeast Asia.
