In the early onslaught of super typhoon Ondoy, there was another battle raging. It was a close fight between agencies at the SCI FI Quiz Night last September 25, but in the end, Starcom’s “Team Yap” emerged the winner. Behind by only two points, Mediavest’s “Starvest” came in a close second.
Sci-fi knowledge was put to a test, but only the best can claim the honor as the Geekiest agency of all. Sci-fi questions varied: from Star Wars to Star Trek, from movies to mythology.
Five thousand pesos plus freebies were awarded to the winner of each of the three rounds. Early in the game, powerhouse “Team Yap” led the scoreboard. The other teams, though, proved tough as they all valiantly vied for second place.
By the end of the second round, three teams tied and battled off a triple tie-breaker. The third and last round was the decision maker; Starcom’s kingpin geeks bested four other agencies for the title of SCI FI Quiz Night (Agency Leg) champions.

Participant agencies were ARIVA “Mind Warriors”, MassCom “Battlestars”, MediaVest “Starvest” and Starcom “Team Yap”.
