In the keynote talk ‘Government and social communication’, Sec. Coloma focused on the role of digital mass media in the government. As the primary source of information, the government created Philippine Information Agency across the country. He encouraged the industry to promote a new media culture that is truthful, fair and respectful.

"This is the new media landscape. We can use the digital tools to serve our country better," shared Sec. Coloma.

Among the digital retail trends discussed were smart phones, holograms and 3D printing. But the key to any digital signage is content. Aside from creative content, the other challenges in the digital out of home advertising are: technology enablers, consumer behavior, technology tools and anonymous image analytics.

With the onset of digital industry, Pankaj Goswami told the delegates "No media is replacing any media. Print media will be there for 200 years. So, don’t be threatened. New media is just filling the gap."

Globaltronics, inc. chief operation officer Nato Agbayani remarked: "At Digital Asia Conference, we tasted a global fusion of digital innovation masterfully served by prolific icons of the industry. We look forward next year for a more bountiful buffet of learning and game changing cuisine from digital masters."
