TBWA’s Ali Silao moves to BBDO Guerrero

MANILA – TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno’s Creative Director Ali Silao has moved on to join BBDO Guerrero as their new Head of Art.

“After ten amazing years with TBWA\SMP I have decided to disrupt things a bit and accept a post at BBDO Guerrero as Creative Director – Head of Art,” Silao shared with adobo.

“I believe in the agency’s philosophy – the work, the work the work. And I think it’s the perfect platform for me at this point in my career.”

Silao (pictured) started out as an Art Director with TBWA back in 2011, working on projects like Energizer and non-profit Manikako’s “Gift of Life,” The Eye Bank Foundation’s “Touching Words,” and Champion Infinity’s “Shrooms”

He is also behind the multi-awarded Hana Water Billboard for Shokubutsu Han, a personal care brand from Japan’s LION. This first-of-its-kind floating billboard made of Vetiver, a perennial, non-invasive grass, can clean up to 2,000 to 8,000 gallons of water per day.

Silao exits with humility, thanking Melvin Mangada, managing partner & CCO of TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno, for the guidance and lessons that have shaped him to become one of the country’s top creatives.
