The organizers of the New York Festivals released the list of finalists in the International Advertising competition last week.
TBWA Santiago Mangada Puno led the pack with four finalists, one each for Print, Radio, Outdoor and Design. DDB Philippines, DM9 JaymeSyfu, Lowe Philippines, McCann Worldgroup Philippines and advertiser Cinemanila got one finalist each.
Winners in this competition will be announced on June 30, 2008 in New York City.
Each year, the New York Festivals seek out the most innovative TV/Cinema, Print, Design, Outdoor, Mixed Media, Radio, Collateral, Interactive, Art & Craft and Student work and award entries in nearly 300 categories.
All judging takes place online by a panel of renowned judges representing forty countries, hand-picked by our executive directors, and suggested by local industry leaders. The peer recommendation program allows industry experts from every industry niche across the globe the chance to pass the torch and keep each competition fresh with new perspectives. With its evolutionary judging system, each entry receives ample time and attention in an environment free of outside distractions and unsolicited influences
Winners were already revealed for the Innovative Advertising Awards (formerly the Interactive and New Media Awards). While there were no Philippine winners, DM9 JaymeSyfu received finalist certificates for its guerilla efforts Extraderm Exfoliant “Peel Off” and Gabriela Philippines “Clock”.
