AdCon22 online registration opens today

PHILIPPINES – JUNE 1, 2011 – The online registration system for AdCongress22 is officially up and running starting today, June 1. Everyone can now register to take part in the most important event in the advertising industry through www.adcongress.com.ph and go on to attend AdCongress22 at the CamSur Watersports Complex (CWC), Camarines Sur, on November 16 to 19, 2011.

This year’s theme, "Change the Game", has inspired various innovations in the ad congress. Using an online registration system is among one of its most significant developments.

"Technology has made a lot of our work easier today and it is the right time for online registration in the ad congress," says AdCongress22 administration committee chair Blen Fernando.

"Our industry projects itself to be dynamic and speed-conscious – leading how communications can be executed. Thus, using technology for registration is one of the ways to be more efficient and professional."

The online registration system is made possible with the technical expertise of CamSur Governor LRay Villafuerte’s team, which lends its experience in managing the online registration of thousands of participants in the annual Ironman 70.3 Philippines triathlon, Summit Water CamSur Marathon and Ultimate Wake Championship to AdCongress22. For more specific requirements coming from the advertising industry, the CamSur team has even made adjustments to the system.

"We asked the team for adjustments to be able to accommodate requests from our colleagues for cash or check payment instead of simply through credit card, ATM debit card or bank transfers," Fernando says.

The AdCongress22 online registration system opens today after months of collaboration.

"It’s very convenient," says Fernando. "You can register as a delegate, book your hotel and even get on an airport transfer service or reserve a parking slot at CWC for your own car all from the comfort of your office or home."

All arrangements needed to become a delegate can be completed online in the official ad congress website at www.adcongress.com.ph. The ad congress fee – P15,500 special rate for regular delegates who register only from now until June 30 and P8,500 for students or academe – can also be conveniently settled through credit card or ATM debit card payment online. Cash or check payment must be delivered to the ad congress cashier at the office of the Advertising Board of the Philippines.

With online payment, registration would be validated almost instantly through confirmation e-mail, and the delegate can immediately proceed to the next step: choosing a hotel and making arrival arrangements. In contrast, cash or check payers must wait for validation from the ad congress cashier to the system before getting the delegate confirmation e-mail and access to choose a hotel.

"The online registration system has its own server and we have allotted considerable bandwidth so traffic should not be a problem," says Ruwel Loyola, head of administration registration for AdCongress22.

"We have also provided for a back-up via system redundancy so the possibility of the system getting busy or failing is almost nil. Worst-case scenario, the registration system will just act as a data collector, and all payments will be made offline. But this is a very remote possibility."

The AdCongress22 administration committee, in cooperation with the CamSur local government, has prepared the online registration system diligently to accommodate and secure all users. So be a game-changer. Log on to www.adcongress.com.ph and register now!

The P15,500 special rate for regular ad congress delegates is available only from today until June 30. Start registering to take advantage of the discount. (Ivy Ong)
