The USAID/ E-PESO Project: #SafeAtHome with E-Payments and the Coca-Cola World Without Waste – Bacolod Pilot campaign both won awards under the Communications Management division, specifically for the Government Communications category and the Community Relations category respectively.

Evident also bagged excellence awards under the Communications Skills – Social Media Programs division for the Liyab sa Lamig campaign, and the Communications Research category for the #ShutDownOSEC campaign.

The firm was also nominated for Agency of the Year and its project #ShutDownOSEC contended for the Top Division Award in Communication Research.

This is the third time that Evident has been recognized by the Philippine Quill Awards. Last year, the company took home a Quill award for their Phoenix Fuel Masters social media program and another last 2018 for PBEd’s STEP UP “Dear Teacher” campaign.

“Evident’s wins at the Quill Awards this year demonstrates our team’s passion, competence and range of expertise, and also our devotion to great strategy and effective execution. By helping our clients find their why and using their purpose as the basis of our work, we help them deliver programs that engage their communities and make positive change,” says Cecile Dominguez-Yujuico, CEO of Evident.

Evident in making societal change through communication

For the #SafeAtHome with E-Payments campaign, Evident worked with BSP and E-PESO in encouraging Filipinos to trust e-payments as the safer, quicker, and pandemic-proof alternative to cash-based transactions. The campaign led to greater awareness of e-payment platforms, their uses, and cybersecurity hygiene; it has helped increase transaction volume and value for platforms like InstaPay and PESONet.

Evident also partnered with Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc. (CCBPI) in successfully organizing World Without Waste Communities Project – Bacolod, a sustainability project aimed to empower the pilot barangay Mansilingan with the education and resources needed to implement its own Solid Waste Management Plan. The project also successfully turned over Barangay Mansilingan’s own Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) to further segregate and process waste materials for recycling.

Evident collaborated with ChildFund Philippines in the #ShutDownOSEC Campaign as well in making a study on the nature of news coverage about Online Sexual Exploitation (OSEC) in the Philippines. This led to the creation of guidelines, which helped journalists better cover OSEC cases and understand the importance of child protection and privacy in media reportage.

Hockey Philippines and Evident also had a chance to work together for the Liyab sa Lamig campaign, a rally for hockey fans to follow and support the team’s bid for gold in the SEA Games.

Creative solutions for today’s barriers

Evident believes that a good and fresh communication strategy is key to educating, empowering, and affecting positive change.

Since 2013, Evident has successfully taken part in projects that aim to create social impact like STEMpower Our Girls, a campaign in partnership with the Philippine Business for Education (PBED) and funded by Investing in Women, that empowered young Filipino women to realize a future in STEM.

Evident also worked with organizations like the United Nations Population Fund – Philippines (UNFPA) to address gender-based violence through research and community engagement, and the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) to provide the government with the best possible local information for drafting Fisheries Management Areas (FMA) guidelines.

“There are a lot of organizations and projects out there that can help millions of Filipinos, so we want to help them achieve their goals by doing what we do best, which is to amplify their message through traditional and digital space, and ensure that their campaigns successfully reach as much beneficiaries as they can,” Dominguez-Yujuico stated.
