Paul Grubb to head up creative at Publicis Thailand

ASIA-PACIFIC – BANGKOK, AUGUST 11, 2010 – In a major industry surprise, Publicis Bangkok has announced that Paul Grubb will be taking on the role as their new executive creative director. He was previously regional executive creative director with Lowe Worldwide, based out of their Bangkok office.

One of the most famous creative names in the region, Paul Grubb started his advertising career in 1979 at Gold Greenlees Trott agency in London. Leaving in 1989, he then started Duckworth, Finn, Grubb, Waters, one of the most respected independent agencies in London through the 90s. After 15 years, he left DFGW, heading to Lowe in 2004, overseeing Unilever business in Asia.

He has won major awards at every level in the industry.

“I like DOING things, building things, creating things and managing things. I’m not really the kind of person to sit around and wait for something to happen,” says Grubb. “When I met up with Mark and discussed the Publicis vision for Bangkok and the region I just felt
that this could be the beginning of something great.”

“Of course I was a big fan of Paul’s work, much of it is globally renown. But when I met him, saw his energy and enthusiasm, thought about how he could help us create contagious ideas that change the conversation, felt the chemistry, it was a no-brainer. We just had to get him!” says Publicis CEO, Mark Ingrouille.
