ASIA-PACIFIC – MALAYSIA, OCTOBER 12, 2012 – With the recent launch of its newest product offering, Postbox, MSN Malaysia embarked on creating a campaign that was close to many Malaysian hearts – food and photography.

Postbox is MSN’s latest site, a picture driven platform that collects and displays user photos, videos and user-generated-content (UGC) in a scrolling photo gallery that is easy to navigate, share and interact with.

And in celebration of the Merdeka and Malaysia Day celebrations and its I HEART Malaysia site, MSN teamed up with Food Panda to create a contest that invited users to post their favorite Malaysian-themed photo onto Postbox for a chance to win Food Panda food vouchers worth RM3,000.00.

“Postbox is a great new site that captures the mood, spirits and interests of our users in an engaging photo gallery format,” said Jeremy Neyman, Catcha Digital’s business director.  “Uploading an image is really simple and can be done from a laptop or smartphone, so users are able to share their experiences instantly and also visit Postbox at a later stage to update, comment, share or add new pictures.

“Images on Postbox are segregated according to different categories which are curated by the MSN editorial team but these categories can also be customised to client campaigns, which is what we did with Food Panda,” he added.

Commenting on the campaign, Food Panda marketing director Sidney Ng said, “The Postbox contest idea is a great way to engage an audience by making photo sharing fun, simple and social. Foodpanda.my believes in creating the same experience online for our customers and we’re excited to have been able to associate our brand to this campaign.”
