“We are happy to have achieved Silver Level accreditation. This attests to our commitment to become the best managed building materials company in the Philippines,” said Republic Cement Services, Inc. Vice President for Manufacturing Martin Wills.

To achieve accreditation, organizations are assessed against themes and indicators, leading to an award level of standard, bronze, silver, gold or platinum, representing the level of performance achieved.  Assessment is carried out using surveys, interviews, meetings and observations.

During its assessment, Republic Cement scores outperformed the average scores of manufacturing companies globally in every indicator.

“We concluded that while Republic Cement focuses on ensuring that capacity expansion activities are well and safely executed,” said Ms. Webster, “the company still continues to prioritize community, environment and social responsibility.”

Other organizations that received accreditation in Investors in People are Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Standard Level), National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (Standard Level), and Pangasinan State University (Silver Level).

“The Republic philosophy on learning and innovation has given birth to many solutions formulated in-house and based on sharing our experiences from both young and more seasoned employees,” Mr. Wills shares.

“I may have the honor to stand here today, but I am merely the cheerleader of our many team members who made this happen,” he adds.
