McCann Erickson logo master Eros Basilio to depart

After more than 25 years in graphic design, Eros Basilio is, in his own words, “switching off,” by March 15.

Having made logo creation his trademark, surprisingly, Basilio started in TV production.  He eventually found himself in agencies known for design, namely, Ace Saatchi & Saatchi, and McCann Erickson Philippines in January 1992.

“It has been 18 fruitful years. I guess it’s my turn to move on,” says Basilio.

It might not be easy to withdraw from one’s calling, though.  Basilio has no definite plans yet, but claims, “ I just want to take a break for the meantime but not for long really.”

Basilio has since designed the logos of the United Nations, Ayala Corporation, Globe Telecoms, GMA-7, Isuzu, Philippine Advertising Congress and yes, adobo magazine.
