McCann Worldgroup Philippines stretches new biz win to 2012

THE PHILIPPINES, FEBRUARY 20, 2012: McCann Worldgroup (MWG) Philippines continued its 2011 winning streak and welcomed 2012 with another series of new business acquisitions across several disciplines: creative, digital, activation campaigns and media planning, buying, and implementation.

MRM Philippines, the digital arm of MWG Philippines, won digital pitches for key Nestle brands Nescafe and Kit Kat. Momentum, on the other hand, bagged Maxims, Whattatops, and JTI Winston assignments, as McCann Healthcare picked up the Westmont Klaz 2012 campaign. Universal McCann (UM) was named media agency by Gentle Supreme Philippines for brand Wings detergent and GIV soap, as it also bagged duties for The Clorox Company (for Clorox, Pine Sol, Glad, Burt’s Bees, Hidden Valley, and Prestone), Cherry Mobile, and group-buying site Deal Grocer.

These recent wins added to the agency’s collective wins last year, including digital assignments for Coca-Cola, Multiply, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Unilever (for Eskinol and Master), and the Department of Health. MWG Philippines also won the accounts for Enervon, Red Ribbon, and Mentos, as McCann Healthcare netted Unilab Biomedis, Roche, Westmont Appebon, and Alnix accounts. UM was also picked as the media agency of record of Microsoft and the American Eye Center.

“We’re very happy at the multi-disciplinary new business success that McCann Worldgroup is enjoying as we start 2012. 2011 has been good, and 2012 would hopefully be even better. We’re thankful that our clients continue to trust us with their businesses, and we are eager to showcase the innovative marketing solutions that each of our disciplines has to offer,” said Nandy Villar, McCann Worldgroup president and chief operating officer.
