A modern love story unfolds, effortless ways to go green, and music binds culture and community in this week’s best ads

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The creative industry is brimming with tons of amazing ideas, so it’s no surprise that there’s never a shortage of great campaigns to admire and celebrate.

From gripping stories and new perspectives that embody what a brand stands for to new fun ways people can engage with a brand, here are campaigns that caught adobo Magazine’s eye this week:

Finding the right one with the wrong address

When a Swiggy user accidentally has food delivered to a neighbor, it’s only the start of a heart-fluttering strangers-to-lovers story. The best part? Talented and Chocolate Films’ short film packs a punch even though we only get to see this romance unfold through Swiggy’s UI — from snippets of first dates in restaurants they found through the app and online grocery runs for apology home-cooked meals to a cake delivered with the message “Move in with me?” and the couple renaming their address label in the app as Our Home.

A celebration of the sound and story of India

Coke Studio Bharat has made it its mission to bring together the different voices of India to create music that embodies the country’s many cultures. Part of this is its campaign by Ogilvy, in which Coke Studio showcases how diverse India is and how that doesn’t stop music from connecting the nation. The spot explores the many places where you can find the beauty of sound in India, with every community, every street, every festivity, every city, every language, and more offering its own music.

The little things that make you go green

Ouigo’s cheeky sustainability ads by Rosa Paris promote environmentally friendly commutes and mobility solutions by showing how the different incidental moments that happen in your life — showering together with a partner, your scooter breaking down before you get to your destination, getting your console unplugged as punishment — is kind of like taking Ouigo’s trains. How? It’s going green without even trying.

No need for predictions when it comes to Jollibee

The new Jollibee ad is a short but funny spot about how, when it comes to JolliSavers, there’s no need to guess or predict anything — even on a budget, delicious meals are guaranteed. When a young woman realized that her fortune-telling session — one that implied a new romance — was actually alluding to a mishap, she at least finds comfort in something she knows she can count on: Jollibee’s JolliSavers.

Bringing back a cultural marvel with VR

A screen to experience Gungisi on the metaverse using the ‘Gongjon’ app.

There are countless significant historical sites that have been lost to war, disasters, and more. For South Korea, Gungisi, an ancient weapons manufacturing facility destroyed during the Japanese colonial rule, is one of them. However, thanks to VR tech, Cheil Worldwide, along with the Cultural Heritage Administration and the Seoul Metropolitan Government, was able to bring back this important piece of cultural heritage via the metaverse 140 years after its destruction.

Here’s a look back at adobo magazine’s weekly campaign picks.
