MPG and Media Contacts expand Symantec media business with Norton win

ASIA-PACIFIC – JUNE 29, 2011 – Symantec, a global leader in providing security, storage and systems management solutions, has appointed Havas Media agencies MPG and Media Contacts to handle the regional media business of consumer brand Norton. The new appointment marks the extension of relationship with MPG and Media Contacts, which currently handle Symantec’s enterprise business.
 
As part of the brief, the Havas Media duo will handle offline and online media planning and buying for the entire range of Norton products for Asia Pacific region with a special focus on Southeast Asia, India, Hong Kong and Taiwan. 
 
Commenting on the win, Gautam Dutt (in photo), Director of Media Contacts Singapore and the regional account lead for Symantec, said: “Norton is a market leader in most markets in Asia Pacific and has the best in class products.
