KODAK AWARD finalists for New Director Of The Year announced

From six countries in the Asia Pacific region, the KODAK AWARD New Director of the Year finalists are out, and all are Sydney-based.

Nick Ball of @radical Media, Sydney, Dael Oates of Prodigy Films Sydney and Jack Wung of Windows Productions Sydney are in the running for the coveted award.  

The KODAK AWARD New Director also includes the Student or Current Graduate category with the following finalists: Leo Woodhead-Thick as Thieves, Auckland; Qing Xie-Red Water Red, Melbourne; and David Rusanow, Victorian Collage of The Arts, Melbourne.

The New Director commercial winner will be awarded the equivalent of Australian$4,000 of 10 x 400′ loads of 35mm Kodak Motion Picture Film.  The New Director student/recent graduate winner will be awarded A$1,300 worth of 5 x 400′ loads of 16mm KODAK Motion Picture.

The overall winner will be announced at the upcoming KODAK AWARD New Director of The Year Cocktail Party on September 9 in Sydney.  The winners will also be introduced and recognized at the AWARD Presentation Evening on November 12 with expected attendance of up to 800 of the finest industry members from the region.
