Melvin Lim named Havas Media Singapore CEO; Stuart Clark promoted to Havas Media International MD

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, AUGUST 2, 2011 – Havas Media Asia Pacific, whose operating brands include MPG, Media Contacts and Havas Sports & Entertainment, today announced the appointment of Melvin Lim as CEO for Singapore. 
 
Lim has been tasked with driving the expansion of Havas Media’s two key brands MPG and Media Contacts in Singapore and building the group’s diversified offering in the space of digital, mobile and activation. He will start this week and will report to Vishnu Mohan, CEO of Havas Media, Asia Pacific.  
 
The agency has simultaneously announced the elevation of Stuart Clark, the Managing Director of MPG Singapore, to the newly created role of Managing Director of Havas Media International, the unit of the group that specializes in managing relationships with international and multi-market clients. He will operate between Singapore and Hong Kong, and continue to report in to Vishnu. 
 
Commenting on Lim’s appointment, Vishnu said: “Melvin brings a client’s understanding of how Havas Media can optimize its performance in the best interests of our valued clients. His long local experience and knowledge of Singapore market makes him uniquely qualified to not only strengthen our product, resources and offer but also provide marketing insights rooted in the local culture.”
 
On Clark’s new role, Vishnu continued: “The group’s rapid growth over the last few years necessitated an enhanced focus on its International unit. Stuart’s prior experience in managing global accounts and his excellent track record in Singapore made him a natural choice to head this division."
 
Lim comes with 16 years of experience as a marketer with respected regional. He was most recently the Head of Marketing for Consumer Banking at DBS, the biggest bank in Singapore. Prior to this Lim spent four years at Southeast Asia’s largest telco SingTel, where he was the Deputy Director of Consumer Marketing. His longest stint in his career has been with Asia Pacific Breweries where he spent nine years as a Marketing Manager and regional head of Sponsorships and Brand Development for Tiger.
 
Clark has been with MPG for the last ten years, six of which were spent with MPG International in London and four as Managing Director of MPG Singapore.  He has been instrumental in growing MPG into one of the leading media agencies in Singapore with a distinctive feat of scoring an “A” from RECMA for competitiveness in three consecutive years.
