Under the partnership, Zest Airways is now called Air Asia Zest, its green and orange logo dropped in favor of the signature bright red of AirAsia, which joined with Zest in March in an effort to revive its Philippine operations.
The rebrand has been approved by the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB). The airlines is now updating its records with the CAAP to include its new name in its permits.
“We are excited to introduce AirAsia Zest, and what it represents. With our alliance, we are well positioned to offer our guests the strength of our combined network of domestic and international routes and unrivalled daily low fares, proving a world class travel experience that every Filipino deserves,” AirAsia Zest chairman Mikee Romero said.
“We hope this brand new look is the first of many steps towards making AirAsia Zest an airline that continues to revolutionize air travel in the Philippines. We are geared up and committed to ensuring that AirAsia Zest lives up to the same incredibly high standards of AirAsia,” he added.
AirAsia Zest will continue to operate independently of Philippines AirAsia, with its base in Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila.
To kick-off the rebrand, AirAsia Zest offered a P1 Base Fare Sale to selected local destinations. The rebrand will be formally launched soon.
