Q. Overall, what do you think of your jury and the chemistry among your members?

A. The Radio Jury was a good mix of opinionated, respectable, passionate and very fair industry people. We discussed almost every single entry and really tried to be faithful to the spirit of this year’s show: creativity + effectivity.

Q. With the Araw’s new emphasis on creativity that works, how did this change the way the Araw jury work?

A. While we emotionally  judged some very creative works, we also rationally went through the results one by one. The group gave recognition to the medium’s importance in the overall business success.

Q. What do you think of clients, media specialists, planners and creatives deliberating over the Araw entries?

A. Admittedly, I was pleasantly surprised at their inputs as supposedly "non-creatives". They truly had a new way of looking at our work.

Q. What struck you as most interesting among the entries in your category? Why?

A. That one perfectly written humorous piece can be consistently adapted to three scripts-all with different insights! We gave the whole campaign a gold.

Q. In this new and improved Araw Awards, what would you improve on in 2011?

A. To truly balance creativity with effectivity.  Given this criteria, to have but one standard of choosing the best across all categories.

Q. What advice would you give entrants in future Araw Awards?

A. Quality over quantity, rules.
