MANILA – September 24, 2013 – ‘Tis the season of gratitude for Globe Telecom, which launched its campaign "0917 Wonderful" to thank its subscribers for their support.
By keying in their phone numbers on the 0917 Wonderful microsite, subscribers become eligible to win ts from Globe, such as gadgets, t certificates, movie tickets, and Globe Rewards points.
Havas Media Ortega (HVMO), which developed the campaign for the telecommunications company, explained how the campaign plays with the number 917, the prefix the brand is known for in the Philippines. Apart from the campaign title, the campaign was also launched on 9/17, and will have a total of 917 winners to be chosen daily at 9.17 a.m. and 9.17 p.m.
“Since Christmas usually begins in September, and 0917 are numbers that are associated with Globe, we decided to start the campaign on September 17,” said D’Artagnan "Bunny" Aguilar, division head of Convergent Communication Channels, Globe Telecom.
Aguilar explained that the campaign is Globe’s way of celebrating the Christmas season early, and aims to make their customers feel loved. Launched on the web and mobile platforms, the campaign is the telecom company’s first digital promotion targeted only at its subscribers, Havas Media Ortega said.
According to Aguilar, HVMO’s idea to hold a raffle prom as a digital activation was "a simple yet brilliant idea." "Once we approved the idea, HVMO was relentless in making sure that we get it off the ground given the very limited time to work on it to make it in time for September 17," Aguilar said.
For his part, Laszlo Miguel Lim, business director of HVMO said they "really wanted to keep things as simple as possible and get straight to the heart of it. As the giving season started, what better way for Globe to say ‘thank you’ than by ting their subs wonderful experiences?"
The campaign runs from September 17 until October 24.
