Ali Shabaz, Chief Creative Officer, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand adds, “Joseph’s skill, experience and maturity will help us raise the bar on our work across all our clients. His addition will make a big difference to our creative goals.”

Of the appointment, Tay says, “I am really looking forward to working with Grey Group Singapore and with some of the best talents in the industry. Try to imagine a group of like-minded people trying to do great work together and what they can achieve. I don’t think I can imagine the outcome.”

In the initial months, Tay will work on Qatar Airways, Wildlife Reserves Singapore, Mitsubishi and Metro.

Tay has contributed to a number of path-breaking campaigns such as the Parkinson’s Disease Society Singapore press campaign that won him a Cannes Bronze Lion. He can also lay claim to a host of other advertising awards – D&AD, the Clios, ADFEST, the Singapore Outdoor Awards and the Singapore Creative Circle Awards, to name a few.

Born and bred in Singapore, Tay has a deep understanding of the local scene and has helped judged local photographers’ work and nurtured a few young creatives in the course of his work.
When Tay gets a break from advertising, he is an ardent Formula One fan and most of his free time is spent watching his children grow.

Tay’s appointment is the latest of a number of strategic creative appointments in Singapore, Thailand, India and Vietnam to boost the network’s creative output made by Nirvik Singh, Grey Group Asia Pacific’s Chairman & CEO, since the beginning of 2010.
