Havas Media Group wins global media duties of LG Electronics business

ASIA-PACIFIC – INDIA, AUGUST 12, 2013 – After unveiling a new corporate identity a week ago, LG Electronics has appointed Havas Media Group as its media agency of record, subsequent to an open and competitive review.

Havas will manage LGE media business in over 60 countries under its Arena brand. Early this year, Havas snatched the brand’s global media planning and buying account from WPP’s Mindshare.

Speaking on the appointment, global managing director Dominique Delport said: “This win has come at a good time for us all. The development of the Arena network and the current energy and enthusiasm within the Group creates a strong foundation from which to build this important partnership.”

Havas Media Group’s Executive Committee, led by its CEO Alfonso Rodés, together with Delport, will continue to manage Arena.

The global win for Havas follows its latest phase of integration strategy as it moves to create the most simplified and agile media group in the industry.
