BBH pushes a few (thousand) pins for British Airways

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, OCTOBER 10, 2012 – American destinations come to life in a British Airways print campaign using pushpin art to create life-size images of iconic destinations in the US.

The creative house behind the campaign is BBH Asia Pacific, led by creative director Peter Callaghan. Award-winning artist Wesley West labored on choreographing over six thousand regular pushpins to form the images, while renowned still life photographer Leon Steele created "movement and depth" for the three six-foot tall images of the Statue of Liberty, the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge and the Rodeo movement.

British Airways wanted to showcase its route strength in North America (a key market for India) and according to marketing lead Niall O’Gorman, BBH was able to achieve this in a "simple yet compelling manner".
