21st ADCLASH student competition delivers its finishing strokes

PHILIPPINES, MARCH 2011 – Hundreds of Advertising and Public Relations students converged at the Eastwood Central Plaza to support their classmates and participate in the 21st ADCLASH : The Winning Stroke of 2011. The annual tri-media advertising competition for college seniors, organized by the Department of Advertising and Public Relations in the College of Business of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), is based on a brief for a different client every year.

For this year’s client, Stabilo, each senior class had to prepare a campaign for Stabilo’s Left and Right retractable pencil. Each group had 15 minutes to present its campaign and a panel of judges had seven minutes for questioning.

The 4-2d group received 1st place and several awards, including Best in TVC, Best in Radio Commercial, Best in Jingle and Best in IMC. In 2nd place was 4-1d, which also won Best Advocacy. Third placer was 4-2n; 4-1n was Best in Print Ad. Jose Lorenzo Graza was named Best Presenter.
