Singapore Kinetic, the Asia Pacific headquarters of the outdoor advertising agency, has appointed Irene Revilla as its new Managing Director.
Revilla, who will take up the position with immediate effect, will combine her new role with her current position as MD of Kinetic International, which is also based in Singapore.
Revilla has had a long and successful career with Kinetic, joining as Account Manager in 2002 when it was operating as Portland. She was soon promoted to Account Director before being made Business Director of airport division Aviator in 2005. Two years later Revilla was named Commercial Director of Aviator EMEA during which time she worked closely with major blue-chip clients such as HSBC, Chanel and Accenture. She moved to Asia Pacific in 2008 to take up the role of Managing Director at Aviator APAC and became managing director of Kinetic International earlier in 2010.
In her new role Revilla will be charged with developing the Kinetic Singapore and Kinetic International proposition, developing relationships with Group M, growing direct client business, implementing the new set of tools and systems, known as Academy [CHECK], and establishing new sources of revenue across the region.
Kinetic Singapore, which reports into WPP’s Group M, is entering a new phase for 2010, and Revilla’s appointment seals the increasingly healthy future of the division, which has recently launched Academy, a suite of tools and systems that supports the planning and buying process for Out of Home media, ensuring there is rigour and accountability to the process.
