GLOBAL, SEPTEMBER 9, 201 3 – The 2013 Epica Awards is now open for entries.
Launched in 1987, the Epica Awards transitioned from focusing on Europe exclusively to being a global show last year. With 48 categories, Epica covers all types of communication: TV, Press, Poster, Radio, Business-to-Business, Corporate Image, Medical, Direct Marketing, Media Innovation, Branded Content, PR, Promotions, Craft, Design, Packaging, Interactive and Integrated Campaigns.
The closing date for entries is September 30t, 2013 and full results will be announced on the Epica website at the end of November.
The ceremony and creative conference will take place in Mumbai on January 24, 2014. The event will be hosted by Epica’s local partner exchangeformedia, publisher of media and marketing titles Pitch, Impact, Franchise Plus, Realty Plus and exchange4media.
All the winners and a selection of other high-scoring entries are published each year in the 400-page Epica Book, published by Fairchild Books (an imprint of Bloomsbury Publishing) and distributed worldwide.
Each company that participates in the awards will receive a free copy of the 2013 annual when it comes out next year.
Book 26, covering the 2012 awards was published in August. The book is introduced by Jose Miguel Sokoloff, CCO of Lowe/SSP3 Bogota and president of the Lowe Global Creative Council. The jacket features an image from the 2012 VW Golf GTI 35 campaign by Tribal DDB Berlin. The book includes background stories on the 2012 grand prix winners by Lewis Blackwell and Mark Tungate who also wrote the creative synopses.
