Emmy Award-winning producer appointed as NYF Executive Director for Television & Film Awards


New York New York Festivals recently announced the appointment of Rose Anderson to Executive Director of NYF’s Television & Film Awards, tasked to ensure that the competition continues to evolve with the changing landscape of the television and film industry.

An Emmy Award winning producer, Anderson’s experience spans over five Olympic games for ABC, NBC and CBS.  Her extensive background in broadcast television includes the creation of news, sports, arts, and entertainment programming for ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS and ESPN. 

 

She was a former Director of Production for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Add to that, Anderson was a five-year veteran of the Sports Emmy Awards, during which, the awards show reached a thirty-year high for three years in a row.

 

In her new role, Anderson will manage all facets of NYF’s Film & Television Awards, oversee the strategy to expand the competition’s footprint, and assemble an advisory board culled from the most respected and influential minds representing the television and film community.

Anderson began her television career at ABC News in 1976, and has worked on projects such as Good Morning America, the Miss America Pageant, Three Tenors in Rome, and the Special Olympics Opening Ceremony. 

 

She is a member of the Directors Guild of America and has a Masters degree in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University.
