BBH China MD Christine Ng to be featured in national commemorative stamps

ASIA-PACIFIC – SHANGHAI, CHINA, JANUARY 27, 2011 –  BBH China’s Managing Director, Christine Ng, will be feature on China’s national stamps commemorating one of China’s most prestigious accolades – the ‘Top 10 Influential Entrepreneurs Award’ at the Harmonious China 2010 Influential People’s Award.
 
A first for an advertising agency executive, and a first for a non-native Chinese, the stamp and  award are considered the highest honor and achievement for both Ms Ng and BBH China. The commemorative national stamps will be issued by the state’s post bureau, the China Post.

The awards were presented to ten winners by two of China’s prominent Central Governors – Gu Xiu Lian and Zhou Tie Nong, both holding Vice Chairman positions within China’s National People’s Congress (NPC) Standing Committee. 
 
The Harmonious China 2010 Influential People’s Award is recognized by the Chinese Government and is collectively organized by a handful of China’s leading media industry groups – The Economic Daily Group, the China Economic Press Association, the Chinese Celebrity International Cultural Media Centre and the Influential People Magazine.
 
The Award honors men and women who have made an outstanding contribution to China in the fields of economic development, progress, and development of Chinese society and who have demonstrated a sense of mission and responsibility to the country.
 
Ng was presented the award based on her contribution to China’s creative industry:

A Singaporean citizen, Ng was part of the founding team of the first BBH offshore office  in Singapore, opening in 1996. She then relocated to Shanghai to set up the BBH China office in 2006.
