Draftfcb begins work on Nivea

PHILIPPINES, JANUARY 2011 – Draftfcb recently won the global strategic responsibilities for Beiersdorf and will be expanding its relationship with the Germany-based personal care corporation as its sole lead agency across the entire Draftfcb network.

In the Philippines, Draftfcb Manila began working on the Nivea brand this month with the local Beiersdorf team, headed by Marketing Manager Ida Dizon. According to Arnold Liong, President and Chief Executive Officer of Draftfcb Manila, with this new assignment, “we will be working closely with both our local Beiersdorf client and our network in bringing fresh and consistent work through multiple disciplines, including above-the-line advertising, point of sale and online.”

According to Draftfcb’s head office official statement on this development, the network has "assembled some of our best-in-class thinkers" to win strategic responsibilities for Beiersdorf. "All together nearly 100 people representing 13 countries collaborated on our final recommendation, which we are looking forward to swiftly implementing across our network.  We greatly appreciate Beiersdorf’s confidence in Draftfcb and we are committed to their continued success.”

Earlier, Reuters reported Beiersdorf’s dissatisfaction with its 2010 sales and revealed that the company hopes to improve profitability with new Nivea skin care products.
