GLOBAL – NETHERLANDS, AUGUST 2, 2013 – Sony augmented a new range of concept to its new campaign, a 60” HD ad to foster its horror survival game, The Last of Us. It was formed by 180 Amsterdam and creative production company Minivegas and has been launched across Europe.
An ordinary man at home is transformed into the character of Joel from The Last of Us. Challenged by strange decision in life, the promo unambiguously depicts how engaged the gamer would become when playing.
"This was an incredibly exciting project for us, for the simple reason that it required taking very sophisticated game-play graphics, and merging them with the real-life environment of a man, in his living room. We have created an ad that is not only true to the game it promotes, but adds a new dimension of engagement,” says the creative director and partner at Minivegas, Maarten Bob.
A visual effects studio based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, by live-action and creative director Luc Schurgers and programmer Dan Lewis is Minivegas.
