SINGAPORE – To equip PR professionals with practical skills and techniques to successfully pitch stories across traditional and social media channels, Pacific Conferences is organising a Transmedia Storytelling Workshop to be held in Singapore on April 3 to 4, and in Hong Kong on April 10 to 11.
Led by FleishmanHillard Hong Kong managing director Rachel Catanach, it will examine the insights behind some great campaigns from Levi’s, Puma, Volkswagen, etc. and how they transform these insights into compelling creative narratives.
Participants will acquire strategies to translate a narrative into different content formats including Twitter, Weibo, LinkedIn, corporate blogs, videos, etc, analyze the transmedia strategy of Google, Starbucks, Apple, Samsung, and also pick up skills in storytelling for employee engagement and effective content measurement.
“PR practitioners are increasingly required to serve as content curators, producers and publishers, build content hubs, create compelling content in many formats – from text to pictures and video to infographics and animation – and syndicate content effectively across multiple platforms,” Catanach explained.
“Most PR professionals understand how to develop key messages but turning these messages into compelling stories that resonate across channels and across audiences requires new ways of thinking and new skill sets,” she said.
