AKQA gains eight new appointments

ASIA-PACIFIC – SHANGHAI, CHINA, MARCH 29, 2012: Independent digital network AKQA implemented eight new appointments across all departments in its Shanghai office.
 
Lydia Chen joins as senior account director who has had 10 years experience in China and joins from SapientNitro. Chen will report into Melinda Po, group account director. Po’s team oversees clients including Unilever’s Lipton, Knorr, Lux, and Zhonghua brands, together with TAG Heuer, GSK and Calvin Klein.
 
AKQA beefed up its client service team with the appointments of Henrike Klug as account manager and Luna Dong as project manager. Cassie Dai and Lloyd Wang, both join as senior account executives.
 
A new associate creative director Tian Huang joins the Shanghai creative team from Iris Worldwide in London, where she spent the last five years as a senior art director. Huang’s appointment coincides with the arrival of Shell Ni as producer and Bruce Ji as associate designer. They will work across accounts.
 
David Hunt, general manager of AKQA China, commented: “The appointments are a reflection of the agency’s robust growth in the Mainland. Coming off a fantastic start to the year for AKQA China and looking ahead, I’m confident that the new additions to the team will help us to capitalize on even more opportunities.”
