Childhope Philippines, Ely Buendia launch ‘Donate to View’ charity film with BBDO Guerrero

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Childhope Philippines, OPM icon Ely Buendia, and creative agency BBDO Guerrero have partnered this Christmas season to launch a first-of-its-kind “Donate to View” charity film built around Buendia’s song “Bulaklak sa Buwan.” The animated film was directed by Joel Limchoc and produced with FilmPabrika, The Acid House, BBDO Guerrero, Just Add Water Productions, and Hit Productions.

The short film, which officially launched today, serves as the centerpiece of Childhope’s Christmas fundraising effort, where viewers can unlock and watch the full animated video through a small donation—turning every viewing into direct support for Childhope’s child protection and education programs.

The project was previewed during Childhope’s Musikalye celebration on November 29, where Ely shared a message of hope in line with Children’s Month celebration of Childhope Philippines. It was later followed by another showing at Ely’s concert at Ayala Malls Manila Bay after his performance the same evening.

All proceeds go directly to the organization’s Street Education and Protection Program, supporting initiatives such as KalyEskwela (School on the streets), KliniKalye (mobile clinic), and other child welfare services centered on education, healthcare, and psychosocial support.

Ely Buendia shared, “Songs can inspire, but it’s what we do with that inspiration that really matters. That’s why this project with Childhope means a lot to me. I’m glad we’re able to use Bulaklak sa Buwan into something that can inspire others to help children build safer, brighter futures. It’s an honor to lend my music to a cause that believes so strongly in them.”

Mylene Lagman, Deputy Executive Director of Childhope Philippines, said “The children we work with face challenges no child should ever experience. Collaborations like this help open more doors for them to learn, heal, and the chance to dream again. We are deeply thankful to Ely and to everyone who chooses to support this cause.”

David Guerrero, Creative Chairman at BBDO Guerrero, added “This project shows how creativity can support something truly meaningful. Working with Ely and Childhope allowed us to bring a powerful piece of music to life while helping raise support for programs that change children’s lives. We’re grateful to our friends and partners in the production industry for helping share a story that matters.”

Donations may be made through Childhope’s official donation portal powered by PayMongo at https://elychristmas.childhope.org.ph. The full animated video can be viewed through the portal, as well as on Ely Buendia’s official social media pages. Updates about the campaign and Childhope’s ongoing programs are also available on the organization’s Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube channels.
