PHILIPPINES, JANUARY 28, 2011 – College and university students are invited to AdSpeak 2011, a student convention on values advertising ,on February 11, 2011 at the SC Auditorium of the Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Manila, from 8am to 5pm.
The convention will have a symposium featuring top industry movers and an award ceremony for the student competition. Speakers are DM9 JaymeSyfu Executive Creative Director Egene Demata, JimenezBasic Founder and former Chair Mon Jimenez, Y&R Philippines President and CEO Chiqui Lara, Dentsu Philippines President Nonna Nanagas, and Ace Saatchi & saatchi VP for Integration Tony Sarmiento.
Four awards will be given out for the student competition: Best in Print, Best in Radio, Best in TV and Best Campaign. The competition reflects the same criteria of the Araw Values Awards organized by the Advertising Foundation of the Philippines, which is also co-presentor of AdSpeak. These values are:
• Love of God and respect for religious beliefs
• Commitment to truth, honesty and justice
• Love of country and respect for national customs and traditions
• Reverence for family, unity and inviolability of marriage
• Respect and care for human life and dignity and the rights of all
• Respect for law and authority and the promotion of self discipline
• Concern for and preservation of the environment
