PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 13, 2010 – When Bates 141 opened its doors to clients and industry friends last Wednesday, it was clear that this the office is, as  Bates 141 Philippines CEO Angel Antonio put it, metaphoric of what the agency stood for.

"We’re quite nimble as a company," says Antonio. "With the openness of the space, it’s about being quick to act, quick to respond. It’s going to be conducive to discussions. We are envisioning clients wanting to come over to feel good vibes and be inspired to come up with ideas that make a difference."

The space is not just open and airy, with a view of Bonifacio High Street and beyond, it is also a green space with plants and a grassy turf bursting with beanbags in Bates yellow. The office is designed by Bates 141 ECD Joey Ong and ACD Dan Pambid, who trained as an architect. The in-house design team ensured that the breakout nooks are comfortable and provided enough literally enough space for skateboarders to weave through.

Bates 141 Head of Creative for Asia Sonal Dabral noted that the youth of the people in the agency and the newness of the Bonifacio Global City area are good signs: "In Indian philosophy we talk about auspicious new beginnings. This is an auspicious new beginning for something really big. After meeting the team today, that hope was cemented."
