Borromeo returns to McCann as new Planning Head

PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 30, 2010 – McCann Worldgroup Philippines announces the appointment of Gino Borromeo as Vice President- Strategic Planning Head effective October 15, 2010.  
 
Borromeo returns to McCann and the Philippines after three years in Singapore, where he handled regional planning roles at Saatchi & Saatchi and JWT, taking on brands such as HSBC, Pizza Hut, ESPN, Lexus, Sony Ericsson and the Singapore Economic Development Board, as well as a global planning role for Unilever’s Lux. 
 
He was wooed back to McCann to lead the continuous evolution of the agency’s highly-acclaimed strategic planning capabilities, as the agency reinforces its thrust to provide multi-disciplinary and integrated marketing communications solutions for clients. 
 
Borromeo began his career at McCann Erickson and Harrison Communications where his planning expertise was honed on brands such as Coca-Cola, Nestle, Vaseline, Jollibee and San Miguel. ʉ۬
 
Borromeo’s appointment signals McCann Worldgroup’s aggressive push for Planning that is attuned to marketplace evolutions. Borromeo is set to lead the team in building new leadership territories and enhancing value offerings to clients, particularly in the areas of digital, shopper marketing, and healthcare planning.
