PHILIPPINES, JANUARY 21, 2011 – The University of Asia & the Pacific (UA&P) has opened its doors to entries for the Tambuli Awards 2011. The Tambuli Awards recognizes Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) campaigns proven to deliver positive results for both the companies’
shareholders and society at large.
The UA&P Tambuli Awards follows a case study approach to gauge the efficacy and social relevance of IMC campaigns. Awards include the Carmencita Esteban Platinum Award, the competition’s highest distinction, chosen from among the Gold Award Winners. The Effectiveness Advertiser of the Year Award is given to the winning advertiser of the Carmencita Esteban Platinum Award. The Effectiveness Agency of the Year Award is given to agencies that have at least three distinct winning entries.
New awards for this year are the Tambuli CMO of the Year and the Tambuli CEO of the Year, both of which are by nomination only and can only be given once to the awardee.
JJ Calero, chairman of Full Circle Communications, is the chairman of the Tambuli Awards Advisory Board. Among the members of the advisory board are Carmencita Esteban, president of the Philippine Survey and Research Center (PSRC); Minyong Ordoñez, chairman emeritus of Publicis Manila; Eric Canoy, president of Radio Mindanao Network (RMN); RJ Esteban, managing director of PSRC; Jaime Puno, former chairman, president &CEO of DY&R-Alcantara; March Ventosa, ABS-CBN Studio 23 and Cable Channels Head; Andre Kahn, president of J. Romero & Associates; Bobby Barreiro, executive vice president & COO of TV5; Francine Calero-Racho, Ph.D., vice dean of the School of Communication, UA&P; and Jerry Kliatchko, Ph.D., dean of the School of Communication, UA&P.
The UA&P Tambuli Awards Board of Judges will be composed of CEO’s and senior executives from advertising agencies and client companies. The jury will be announced shortly.
IMC campaigns that ran in 2010 are eligible for submission. Deadline for entry is on March 31, 2011.
