DentsuIndio’s Beltran-Lambsdorff heads to Singapore, Parpan named GM

By January 2010, current DentsuIndio Managing Director Angeli Beltran-Lambsdorff starts working in Dentsu Asia.

As part of a team to help strengthen and develop Denstu Asia’s digital capabilities in the SEA:  Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia, Beltran says, “Dentsu’s strength is digital especially in Japan.  Our team’s task is to carry over such strengths in the region.  Although the major area is digital, the agency will offer new and exciting services, as well.”

Dentsu recognizes the development of digital in the Philippines and Thailand, with work needed in the other markets.  In the country, digital strength was established through DentsuIndio under the management of Beltran.

The talks behind Beltran’s transfer to Singapore have been circulating for some time, but plans gelled just recently.  Of Dentsu Asia’s plans, she says, “Everything is still fluid.  The expansion is new and exciting.”

DentsuIndio will be under the care of TJ Parpan who takes on the position of General Manager.  Parpan was the agency’s Head of Contact Point Management, in-charge of cross media development.

Beltran has limited her active participation in DentsuIndio.  “The staff and clients have been informed.  I will still take care of DentsuIndio from afar,” she adds.

A strong and active presence, and a member of the Board in the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP), Beltran will remain in the Board of Advisers.

“This is good because IMMAP intends to be recognized globally.  While in Singapore, I’ll know what’s new in the region and know the people.”

It appears DentsuIndio is on the wave of greater things.  Its young creatives have gone to represent the country in the Cannes Lions Advertising Festival in June, as well as Spikes Asia in September.  In the latter, the tandem of Kulas Abrenilla and Ryder Aquino brought home a Bronze.

In the recent Araw Awards at the 21st Philippine Advertising Congress, the agency bagged a Gold and a Silver.  In Singapore for most of the AdCon week, Beltran planed in to attend the awards night.

“I wouldn’t have missed that for the world!,” she revealed.  “The wins were in the wake of my leaving.  Everything was falling into place.  It’s a good way to end,” Beltran proudly adds.

And it looks a grand way to start.
