Festival of Media Asia Awards 2011 announces shortlist

ASIA-PACIFIC – OCTOBER 12, 2011: From the 400 entries it received in its first year, The Festival of Media Asia Awards has released its shortlist of over 80 finalists from 16 countries across Asia Pacific. The list was decided by a panel of key Asia Pacific media and marketing professionals, led by Rahul Welde, vice president for media at Unilever.

Australia, China and Singapore lead the way in the shortlist showcasing brands from adidas, Coca-Cola, Nokia, Rexona, to Xbox Kinect. GroupM agencies dominate the network tally with 21 finalists, followed by Omnicom Media Group and Universal McCann in a tight race for second and third place.

The Philippines has a lone finalist in Media Contacts’ “Closeup White Now” for Closeup.

The festival which will be held on November 13 to 15, 2011, at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Singapore. The winners of The Festival of Media Asia Awards will be announced at the Awards Gala Dinner on November 15, 2011 at The Grand Ballroom at the Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore.
