HONG KONG & SOUTHEAST ASIA – FOX International Channels (FIC) is strengthening its management team in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia to further accelerate its pan-regional advertising sales capabilities and drive local market growth following a year of outstanding business performance in fiscal 2010.

" alt="" />Mr. Simeon Dawes is appointed Senior Vice President, FOX ONE STOP MEDIA (FOSM). Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Dawes will lead FOSM’s vast network of advertising sales representatives across 10 Asian offices to drive pan-regional advertising sales revenue. FOSM is the region’s most-watched international TV channel advertising network* representing more than 30 premium international channel brands, able to deploy effective media solutions in and across multiple markets.
Mr. Dawes is no stranger to regional advertising sales having spent 17 years in this industry. He started his career in Australia by earning key roles in renowned advertising agencies, such as McCann Erickson and DDB before focusing on the international broadcasting sector with a move to CNBC Asia. Later Mr. Dawes joined Discovery Channel as Sales Director, and was promoted to Vice President, Client Solutions and Head of Regional Advertising Sales (Asia), before becoming a business development consultant for FIC in Asia. Now reporting to Mr. Zubin Gandevia, Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Dawes takes over from Mr. Jonathan Ellis, who established FOSM in his role as Senior Vice President, Revenue & Partnerships. Mr. Ellis is leaving FIC to focus on entrepreneurial endeavors in the mobile technology arena.
< width="150" vspace="2" hspace="2" height="146" align="left" src="/global//UserFiles/Rajesh Sheshadri - Head of Trade Solutions and HK Territory Head. " alt="" />Mr. Rajesh Sheshadri has been appointed Head of a newly created Trade Solutions division within FOSM. Comprising creative production, advertising sales, marketing and communications experts, the Trade Solutions service tailors strategic 360° media solutions for pan-regional advertisers to further leverage FOSM’s iconic channel brands and leading audience reach.
In addition, Mr. Sheshadri becomes Territory Head of FIC’s flagship market of Hong Kong, where he will continue to expand the local business in terms of channel portfolio, localized content, packaging, marketing and local advertising sales. Mr. Sheshadri transfers to Hong Kong after five years at FIC in India, most recently as Senior Vice President of Content and Communication. A 12-year industry veteran, Mr. Sheshadri has helped develop some of India’s highest profile TV, radio and print media.
Mr. Sheshadri will develop on the strong foundation built by Ms. Sonia Jackson in her dual role as Senior Vice President of Marketing, and General Manager of Hong Kong and the Philippines. After 12 years in which she launched stellar FIC brands across five continents and led significant business achievements in Hong Kong and the Philippines, Sonia has decided to take a sabbatical year and will continue to work with FIC as a business consultant.
Mr. Jude Turcuato will continue to lead as Territory Director for the Philippines. The Philippines is one of the top five fastest growing markets in Asia and Mr. Turcuato’s responsibility is to drive the growth of the FIC channels in this exploding market. He has already played a key role in developing FIC brands, such as National Geographic Channel, Star World and Star Movies into national household names in the Philippines. Mr. Turcuato will now report directly to Mr. Zubin Gandevia, Chief Operating Officer and continue to exploit business development opportunities in terms of localizing the rich channel portfolio and driving local affiliate and advertising sales.

" alt="" />Ms. Yvonne Tay, former Vice President, Advertising Sales & Partnerships, will move to Singapore as Vice President and Territory Head – Singapore to further build FIC’s leadership in Southeast Asia. She will be responsible for further expanding the FOSM business in that territory, leading the Singapore-based regional advertising sales team to continue to unlock the potential of multi-market advertising in this region. Ms. Tay will report directly to Mr. Avi Himatsinghani, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Southeast Asia.
Ms. Tay has been an integral part of the FIC team in Asia since 2000. Stationed in Hong Kong to cultivate the network’s strengths in advertising sales and partnership development, she played a key role in building some of the network’s long-lasting advertiser relationships, with such high-profile clients as Sony, DHL, Singapore Airlines and Singapore Tourism Board.
