Fox International Channels showcases the 4th Asian Film Awards ceremony through global broadcast rights

Asia – FOX International Channels, Asia’s largest international channel network with the highest viewing share, is proud to be the global broadcaster for the 4th Asian Film Awards. Honoring the best filmmakers and actors in Asian cinema, the prestigious event and red-carpet moments will be available on STAR WORLD, STAR CHINESE MOVIES and Xing Kong in April.

The international channel network will also conduct a series of exclusive backstage interviews with renowned Asian stars, to add a special dimension to its coverage of the star-studded evening.

This delayed global broadcast will reach 60 million cumulative homes across the world, including China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, the Middle East and the US in the following telecast schedule:

The 4th Asian Film Awards promises to be an evening of surprises, celebrities and style as the dazzling awards ceremony brings the industry’s brightest stars and hottest filmmakers to Hong Kong in celebration of the best in Asian cinema.

Multi-award-winning actor Tony Leung Ka-fai is serving as Jury President this year, overseeing a 13-strong jury of film professionals from around the world.

Topping their list of outstanding nominees is China/Hong Kong’s Body Guards and Assassins, which scored six nominations, including Best Film, Best Actor (Wang Xueqi) and Best Supporting Actor (Nicolas Tse). Other contenders in the Best Film category include China’s City of Life and Death and Japan’s Parade.

The Philippines’ own "Lola" by Brillante Mendoza is nominated for three awards, including Best Film, Best Director for Mendoza, and Best Editing for Kats Serraon.
