Mumbai – Grey India has appointed Vijay Jacob as Vice President & Head of South. He will be based in the agency’s Bangalore wing and will be responsible for both Grey Bangalore and Chennai operations.
Jacob’s last assignment was with Bates 141 Chennai where he served as Senior VP, South and Head. Under his leadership, the agency added several brands like Apollo Hospitals Group, Cuticura, Odyssey,Watanmal, Ramco Systems, Chennai Live 104.8 FM, CHIK, Nyle & Meera Shampoos from CavinKare, CavinKare Dairy, MAA Juice, DELL, Amante.
Jacob began his career in advertising with Mudra Communications as Brand Director in April 2002. After spending two years in Mudra, he moved to Grey in 2004 as Branch Head of G3, Chennai with CavinKare going on to win Nutrine and Cry. In that sense, it is a homecoming for Jacob.
He brings 14 years of experience in sales, marketing and advertising. He began his career as Brand Manager with Eveready Industries moving into Sales and Branch Management in the 5 years he spent there.
He has also worked Baazee.com (eBay) and Fountain Head in the course of his career.

Vijay will report his work to Jishnu Sen, Chief Operating Officer, Grey India.
