JWT Singapore promotes two business leaders, Thomas Ong and Peter Cheung

Singapore – Angus Fraser, JWT Singapore Managing Director, announces the promotion of Thomas Ong and Peter Cheung based on their stellar track record of client management and business development.   Thomas is being promoted from Group Account Director to Client Services Director.  This is his third promotion since he joined in 2006.  At the same time, Peter Cheung’s role has been expanded to Regional Management Director/Activation Lead. 

“Both Thomas and Peter are true stars, able to lead teams and educate junior staff members while managing clients and wooing prospects,” complimented Fraser. 

Ong has 15 years of advertising experience and has a wide breadth of experience with Singapore based clients as well as regional powerhouses. At JWT, Ong has primarily focused on HSBC Singapore and Epson.   As Client Services Director, Ong will be taking on more management responsibilities including structure and organization, recruitment and retention policies, training and development, career management and general morale. In addition, Ong will continue to focus on new business development, especially local clients.

With over 15 years in the industry, Cheung has worked in Hong Kong, Vietnam, and, of course, Singapore.  Peter’s promotion reflects the success he has had running regional accounts Nokia, J&J, Bayer and EDB. As Regional Management Director, Cheung will have a remit to target new business, but mostly concentrating on regional opportunities. Cheung will also work on developing JWT’s non-traditional capabilities and our ability to implement integrated campaigns.
