PHILIPPINES, NOVEMBER 4, 2010 – Then it will be five veteran journalists against one Willie Revillame. Korina Sanchez and Noli “Kabayan” De Castro will return to TV Patrol, ABS-CBN’s flagship news program on November 8m joining Ted Failon. The trio goes up against the GMA 7 news duo of Mike Enriquez and Mel Tiangco in 24 Hours, and the two-week old Willing Willie game show hosted by Willie Revillame on TV5.
By going against the news programs, "Willing Willie" has found an timeslot with no rival entertainment program, eating up the audience share of the news programs.
The past 20 years have seen Sanchez and De Castro prosper in their TV careers and lead public lives. They will be back on primetime news following their brush with politics–Sanchez as the wife of former senator Mar Roxas who ran for vice president in the last presidential elections, and De Castro as former vice president of the republic for nine years.
Failon’s former co-anchors Julius Babao and Karen Davila will join Ces Drilon in the late night news program Bandila.
