Leo Burnett Bags Top Honors at The Singapore Advertising Hall of Fame Awards

Singapore – Leo Burnett & Arc Singapore gained recognition at the Singapore Advertising Hall of Fame Awards 2009, taking home the Most Effective Media Campaign of the Year Award. 

Chris Chiu, Executive Creative Director of the agency, was named the Creative Director of the Year.

The Creative Director of the Year Award is designed to give recognition to creative talents’ outstanding achievements, contributions and positive influence to the Singapore’s Advertising Industry. Chris Chiu, with his dedication and continuous efforts in contributing to the industry, has taken the top spot in this highly contested category.

Separately, the “Beautifully Imperfect” campaign for the Singapore Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) has clinched the Most Effective Media Campaign of the Year Award, following the Grand Prix at Kancil Awards and Gold Spike at Spikes Asia. The star performer also made MCYS the Advertiser of the Year and Richard Tan, Director of Communications and International Divisions of MCYS, the Advertising Professional of the Year.

The sensational “Beautifully Imperfect” campaign aimed to promote marriage with the theme idea of “celebrating the imperfections that make the relationship perfect”. The integrated campaign, encompassed TVCs, Facebook fan page, Facebook Contest and YouTube videos, turned out to be an overwhelming success, garnering 2.5 million views on YouTube and approximately 100,000 interactions on Facebook.
