Leo Burnett Singapore’s “Filial Piety” campaign for MCYS wins at the Singapore Advertising Hall of Fame 2010

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, NOVEMBER 18, 2010 – Leo Burnett Singapore picked up four top awards at the Singapore Advertising Hall of Fame 2010 which was held at the Shangri-La hotel on Tuesday, including two for its high profile campaign “Filial Piety” created for Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS). The campaign was awarded “The Cable Campaign of the Year” and “The Most Effective Media Campaign of the Year” following its earlier success at Spikes Asia where it was awarded a silver and two bronzes.

Chris Chiu, Group ECD, Leo Burnett Group Singapore commented on the campaign, “At Leo Burnett, we believe in the power of HumanKind, where the only things that matter are people and their behaviour and how creativity can affect them. We feel that this work for MCYS for Filial Piety has accomplished this on all fronts. By not being didactic in how we’re dealing with the issue but rather, portraying the problem through a genuine human lens; and letting the people decide if they see themselves in the characters and want to do something to change it moving forward.”
